Over the recent holiday, one of our team spent time with her in-laws, as one may do during Noel! One of them, her Father-in-Law, is over 70. Craig is his name and he’s as stubborn as can be! This is a silly story about Craig and his habit of not wanting to reach out for a helping hand, or take advice, to improve circumstances.

So, before the holiday rolled in, Craig was driving and, lo and behold, his car broke down. It’s such a downer, of course, when this happens. Oftentimes, we’ll reach out to nearby friends, family, or, if we’re lucky, random passersby to help us get our vehicles out of harms way. Craig, on the other hand, with his 70-odd years, was resolute: he was not going to call for assistance. Instead, he pushed his car himself. That’s not an easy feat, for most of us, let’s be honest. And, as you might have guessed, Craig injured himself in the process. Nothing too serious, but he hurt his ankle enough to require a compression sock to help him through the healing process.

Now, if you don’t know about compression socks already, they’re NOT easy to put on! They’re really tight and can take any number of minutes to pull up, or even longer, when you start to get really frustrated. Craig’s devoted wife was tasked with this job, spending 5-10 minutes in front of her husband, pulling and tugging up on his compression sock to get it securely on his leg. A bit of a chore, if we’re being honest.

Of course, this is where our co-worker stepped in. Hearing this tale from Craig, and about the efforts of his wife to help, she suggested using a dressing aid. It was such an easy solution, to her, to let Craig know about YourSocksOn. She thought Craig would be over the moon about it!
